Then we had a day or two alone and Jodie's Mom joined us. A couple of days after that, his sister and her family came to the party too! We had a really good time. Here are some pics.

Family Vacation at Topsail Beach
Well, here it is September, and we finally got our family vacation in for the year. We went to Topsail Beach where my parents have a house and spent the week. The first weekend, my parents were there with us. They took us on a boat ride down to Wrightsville Beach for lunch. Sam absolutely loved the boat ride. She slept on the way down there, but on the way back she sat up front with Jodie and I and just had a ball riding the waves and jumping up and down on my lap waiting for the next one. My girl is a water bug!
