Exersaucer Fun

Sam got an exersaucer for Christmas, and even though her legs are barely long enough to reach the floor, she absolutely loves it! She has so much fun in it. I can't wait til she learns that she can turn herself around and play with new toys. She's so much fun to watch.

More First Christmas

For Christmas we went to Jodie's sister's house. We had a great visit with them. Watching their kids open their Santa Gifts was fun. Sam was a little overwhelmed with all the rattling paper and other holiday noises. But, she held her own and was a real trooper.

Sam's First Christmas

Our Christmas celebrations started the weekend before Christmas when we got together with my family to visit and exchange gifts. Sam slept through most of it so there aren't too many pictures of her. Here are some photos:

What a Gift!

Sam fell asleep under the Christmas Tree one night and we snapped a few picts of her. Christmas came in September for us and God gave us the gift that keeps giving.

Happy Birthday Bennett

Sam's cousin Bennett turned a year old today. We went to his birthday party and Sam met her Aunt Donna, Uncle Tommy and her cousins, Thomas and Bennett.

Family Photo Time

It's time for the directory at church, so we had our first family photo made since Sam was born. We thought they turned out alright.

3 Months Old!!!

Sam turned 3 months old today, so we went to the mall and had her picture taken at the Picture People. They turned out really good, but I think I'm going to have to get a 2nd job to support my growing picture adiction!!!!

Sam really likes her Johnny Jump Up. She gets a thrill out of every bounce!

Hey Gizzie!

While we were at my parents' house for Thanksgiving, Sam met my mom's cat, Gizzie.She was really sweet to Sam. And we didn't notice any indications that Sam may have an allergy issue with cats. Hopefully, she missed out on that gene.

Oh So Thankful

Jodie, Sam and I spent Thanksgiving with my parents at their house at Mount Mitchell. We had a wonderful visit with them and a very relaxing weekend, as you can see.

Sam's First Snow

While we were at my parents' house for Thanksgiving, we had a little snow. The flakes were so big! It was absolutely beautiful - a nice break from the ice that falls in Greenville. We bundled Sam up and took her out to see her first snow flake and Mom snapped this picture of us.

Money Maker!

I am sure that every parent thinks that their baby is the most beautiful in the world. So all you other parents will just have to forgive us when we say that this picture could win a contest. We really think we could make money off of Sam's face. This picture was taken at my mom's house over the Thanksgiving Holiday. Isn't it wonderful!!!

Just a Swingin'

Sam loves to swing in her swing. She usually ends up dozing off, which is a great time for Mommy to do her chores for the day!

Puppy Love

I was goofing around with Sam and Daisy one day and snapped this picture. At this point, neither one of them realize that it is only a matter of time before they are the best of friends. Sam just needs to learn to throw a ball and the rest will be history!

Cute as a Button!

Sam's growing by the minute, and she's getting to be so much fun! I was able to catch a couple of really cute pictures of her playing on the floor. Isn't she cute!!!

Two Months Old

I can't believe Sam is already 2 months old!!! She's growing like a weed and getting to be a lot of fun. We just love her toothless grins...

Her First Halloween

Here's Sam in her first Halloween outfit. It's not much of a costume, but she's still cute! Next year, maybe she'll really get dressed up.

Sam's First Road Trip

Sam is 6 weeks old now - time for a trip. We went to Topsail Island and spent a week at the beach. Sam wasn't too crazy about all the wind, so we only went out a couple of times. The rest of the time was forced relaxation. Our motto for the week was "Time Well Wasted". Jodie really needed the break.

Visit With Granny P

My mom and I took Sam to meet her Great Granny Pixley today. We had such a nice visit. It was so good to see granny with a baby again. I guess handling babies is just like riding a bike. She seemed like such a natural. Of course, she did have 5 of her own and 3 grandchildren live with her now.

Family Fun

While Sam was in eating her lunch, the rest of the family was outside playing. Jodie and his dad made a Soap Box Derby car when Jodie was young. They got it out and let the kids enjoy a ride or two. They had a lot of fun. I can't believe that I missed it, but pictures are worth 1000 words....

1 Month Old...Already

The weekend that Sam turned a month old, Jodie's mom, his sister, Pamela, and his brother, David, and their families came to visit. We had such a good time visiting with them.
